Annotate like a pro using the new Apple Pencil Pro. Squeeze your Apple Pencil Pro to bring up a floating tool palette right where your pencil tip is. The Apple Pencil Pro provides haptic feedback when the gesture is recognized and the new hover preview lets you see the selected color and tool before your tip touches the screen. These new Apple Pencil features require an iPad running iPadOS 17.5 or newer. Hover preview works with any Apple Pencil except the 1st generation. The floating tool palette requires an Apple Pencil Pro or the Apple Pencil 2nd generation (with the Double-tap gesture in Highlights set to Tool Palette in Settings > Apple Pencil).
